Universal Studios Singapore!

A very backdated post! I went to USS around 2 months ago! Nah,but I guess it’s roughly still the same now. Haha!

The moment you enter USS,it just feels like you enter a very different place, it’s kinda like the US maybe? I’m not sure about that,haven’t been to US before. But it’s just a very different experience compared to Singapore.

Some advice I can give here is :

1) Wear something very comfortable.

Because it’s going to be so freaking hot,even though I wore a tank top,I nearly fainted also. You’ll be walking a lot and sweating a lot,so maybe cotton would be the best choice!

2) Girls, do something to your hair!

No worries for guys unless you have hair as long as it needs to be tied up! You may also wanna consider doing a bun or pony tail hairstyle because the rides is going to make your hair fly all over the place and you’ll come out looking like a crazy person with hair sticking out from all directions. It does help a lot coping with the weather because it’s going to be so super hot. You’ll just go mad by the first few hours.

3) How to get there?

There are couple of options depending on the people who are going with you. If happen to have around 4 people,it’s most ideal to catch a cab,it’s much more comfortable and a lot faster to get there as well. The bus ride is also available from the bus stop outside Vivocity,but 1 ride cost you $2. If 4 person,that will cost you around $8 already. If 4 of you take cab,it’s also around that price.  We took the bus there still because we didn’t know that the bus ride was $2!

4) Go early if you can!

Why go early? So that you can have ample time to travel around,take as many photos as you want and try out all the rides without having to worry about getting too late and hitting the closing time. We went there around 9+ or 10am. We left around 7 odd pm.

I posted this picture because I thought it look so funny! Some tourist really excited and snapping photos away? But seriously I couldn’t remember what I was doing. But all the mood to take photos just die off halfway because I kinda had sinus suddenly,and was just sneezing non-stop like crazy,so it took away a lot of energy from me,so I was dead beat walking around and coping with my flu.

Picnic @ Marina Barrage

Everyone is doing it,so am I ! Everyone loves to go to Marina Barrage for picnic and kite flying. Boy and I went to Marina Barrage just 1 week before his enlistment for a picnic! We’ve always wanted to go there,for a long time it didnt happen. This time pressurized by the fact that Boy is enlisting soon,we scheduled this 1 week before his enlistment!

It was quite fun! I made this stir-fried pasta dish for the picnic, and also a ham omelette! They are 2 different dishes,just that it was such a hassle to find 1 more container to contain the omelette so I throw both of them together in the same container. Haha. It’s actually my first time cooking a proper meal for a dearest boy. It was quite challenging actually! I made up this dish out of all randomness. I’m glad it did turn out quite nice Will make this again soon! We also brought seaweed chicken & mash potato (which were not feature in the photo,haha,too bad! Too hungry,cant care more about taking photos anymore!)

We went there in late afternoon,because I had school in the morning,and thankfully lesson ended early,so we went home together to whip up those yummy dishes! By the time we got there,it was around 3pm already,can you imagine that kinda of hunger !

Sausage & Mushroom Stir Fried Pasta & Ham Omelette

What’s going to Marina Barrage without flying kite right? We bought a simple kite and strings from SKP. Apparently we opted for the cheapest option for the strings,and it turn out that the strings were actually very short. The weather was very friendly,the kite was flying high but our string weren’t long enough to sustain the kite flying higher,so we just had to make do with our kite flying low. Haha.Spot our cute little kite! After a while we tied our kite to a nearby ‘pole’ beside our picnic area. Apparently some itchy backside people went to fiddle with the kite strings,and the strings just suddenly untied and the kite flew away. The wind was so strong,the kite flew far away,and we couldn’t find it anymore. Thanks to that itchy backside stupid person.Check out our polaroid! Each of us took 1 to keep

It was a great day at Marina Barrage! Definitely made better with the company of my dearest boy!

A date between you & me

For a long long time,I realise boy and I haven’t gone on a proper date!? It’s always been busy getting things done,discussing things about Vandabelle blah blah blah! So finally we planned a date with nothing else just you & me

We went to catch a movie Captain America at the new (okay,maybe not so new anymore,but to me it’s still new!) lido at orchard! Captain America is really good ! I really like the movie! Of course,like everyone will be saying Chris Evans is so hot. But the truth is,the movie is really good,it’s not just because he’s damn hot. But of course that’s just more perks to contributing to it. Hayley Atwell is drop dead gorgeous! And I really like her character in the movie!!!

We went to Holland V for Kenny Roger!

I really love Kenny Roger’s food! The Kenny Roger at Holland V is quite nice,but it’s VERY SUPER HOT! I think somehow the aircon is just spoilt or what? I feedback to the waitress,it got slightly better? But still it’s very unbearable. I think next time I’ll go for a Kenny Roger in a shopping mall.

I really like cup corn! I cant miss out on the corn side,I always order that! The other side is usually depending on my mood that day,so I was feeling quite fat that day,I decided to order vegs! If I’m feeling really hungry,I’ll order the fries or something? I don’t really like the mash potato there.

Boy’s set look so bland and boring! It’s rice & potato salad. I think both are fine,but I’m not a v.rice person,I pretty noodles. That’s why I’m a big fan of crystal jade noodles! As for the potato salad,it’s quite okay,but the best potato salad got to be astons potato salad!

My favourite chill-out place in holland V is cold rock! I really like the concept of mixing stuffs into the ice cream(although they are not the only one who have this idea) , and somehow I feel that it’s one of the nicest place that offers this concept. I don’t really like cold stone although a lot of people prefer that place. Few other places are maggie moos & marble slab. Maggie moos have a problem with sugar level,it’s WAY too sweet. Marble slab is well,okay okay. If you know any other places tell me tell me!

My favourite pick is usually a plain ice cream (usually I order vanilla,but they ran out of vanilla that day,so I ordered butterscotch). The mixer items I always pick violet crumble! My boy picked mars bar! So we shared a big cup with 2 mixers!

Serene’s 20th Birthday!

Hey! I’m finally here with something different. All the past Taiwan post were so outdated! (And continuously posted,so boring!) This post is also very outdated! It’s my birthday which was 1 month ago?! Nonetheless,beats keeping this place empty right!So,I had a couple of celebrations for my birthday!

1) After photoshoot

It was such a coincidence that my birthday was 1 day after Vandabelle’s photoshoot! We had our very first outdoor shoot that day,it was at for the Railway Series! And everything went like this! It was close to the evening when we were almost done with the shoot. It suddenly started drizzling,so all of us had to run for shelter (cause the railway obviously didnt have any shelter). After we packed up and got shelter,group of my friends suddenly popped out from my back and surprised me! I was seriously SHOCKED and surprise. haha.All of us were super tired after the long day of shoot,and my sinus problem acted up half way through the shoot (which was only making things worst for me). I really didnt know how to react to that pleasant surprise my friends had for me. (SORRY!!!! BUT I LOVE YOU GUYS KAY!)What’s worst was,everybody are the shoot was totally aware of everything that was going to happen,except me. Seriously everybody masked it SO WELL!We went for a steamboat dinner later. I was super damn shag, didnt take much photos !

2) Dearest celebration @ Tony Roma

As both boy and I was so super crazy tired after the photoshoot we had the day before,we decided to give half the day off to cuddle under the blanket and rest. We meet up in the evening for dinner @ Tony Roma!

I ordered Vanilla Milkshake,it’s good! (The only good thing around)

Complimentary butter & bread(Hmm,was alright,but I very much prefer Cafe Cartel’s home made bread with butter,it’s DAMN good! Miss it so much!)

We got the 2-person meal. My take for this is I’ll never go back again.Well,as much as this place is famous for the ribs,I don’t think the ribs are nice at all. The chicken is slightly better than the ribs,but still way too dry,even the thigh tasted like breast meat. The generous portion of fries is very rewarding though,cause it’s full of potatoes. Personally prefer fries which can really taste the presence of potation,I don’t like skinny fries which is 50% empty inside. The sausage were okay~,nothing special about it. The mash potatoes were pretty good because of the yummy bacon bits & spring onions (it’s a really good combination actually).

Boy’s quite happy with his meal! haha.

As much as these 2 photos are kinda unflattering,but still I had to post them up,otherwise there will be an unbalance ratio of food photos and people photos.These were the only 2 photos I have T_T On a side note,I really love my lacey white dress!

3) Special Celebration with Jessica !

It’s almost like Jessica could read my mind! I was thinking of getting myself a birthday present! That’s a budget manicure session at FEP,while I was still sourcing around for the best deal! Guess what! Jessica told me,she’s gonna bring me for a manicure session (as my present!) For the first time,both of us tried gelish manicure. (Photos below!)

Besides that,we went to try out red mango! As highly recommended by our dearest Jiaying! This is the usual thing I always order from Yami yogurt also. Actually my favourite frozen yogurt is yami yogurt. I always order the original with these colourful cereal flakes? ( I think there’s a better name than this? Just not to my knowledge!)

Well,my take is,I dont really like this. I find that it’s slightly too sour for my liking. I don’t know if it’s about the water content being too high,it keeps melting while I eat. This actually spoilts the texture of the yogurt? I prefer it to be semi-solid and creamy textured.

See! Both of us have matching purple nails! Purple is my favourite colour!!! Well,little bit about gelish nail. It’s different from usual nail polish. It’s actually slightly ‘thicker’ than normal,it’s obvious,you can feel it,like a piece of plastic flake. It uses the UV rays to dry,which I believe it to intercalate the chemicals used in the nail polish to lock the position of it. That’s explains why it’s much more lasting than normal nail polish which is merely painting a coat over and drying it over normal fan or hair dryer. For me,it lasted about 2 weeks before the 1 piece cracked and chipped off. But the cons of this would be that you need to incurred extra expense to remove it at the salon,it cannot be done at home with normal nail polish remover (that’s was what I was told,neither did I dare to try it out anyway).But for a more budget friendly option,I would still recommend that either you paint yourself or get a cheap express manicure. Taiwan Day 5 : Shih Fen Scenic Area

So continuing from the previous post,after the long ride of train to Shih Fen,we are finally here! It’s quite a long walk to get to the waterfall actually. Right after the train station there’s a long street of stalls selling some snacks and the ‘sky lantern’. I don’t know if that’s the right term for it. But there will be many people there lighting the lantern. Especially pretty at night. If I did not remember wrongly,it cost NT100 for the plain coloured ones,NT150 for mixed coloured ones.After you cross that long street then you still have to cover quite a long walk before you get to the waterfall. Just follow the crowded,everyone who is going there is heading the same place. Haha!
I was having a bad flu that day,I was sneezing so much,plus walking so much,starving like mad by the time we reach the waterfall. Luckily there was a cafe at the waterfall that I could grab a set meal like this!Tadah! We’re finally here!Pretty! But still not as magnificent as I thought it was suppose to be.
I so love my stripey dress I got from the night market. This was apparently the only piece of clothing I got there. So I dont think it’s a shopping paradise there (at least for me). Oh but i did got few pairs of shoes! This is the ‘tian deng’ shop we went to! (Sky latern)It’s called Ah-ma tian deng. Nothing special I guess,every shop is the same. Just that this wasnt so crowded when we were there,so we chose this.We saw this BBQ drumstick with stuff rice,so my boy was like MUST TRY!
Before biting! After biting! See the stuffed rice! I think it’s okay,not too bad,but my boy was so crazy over it. haha.There were 2 kind of writing,either with marker (modern method) or with brush (traditional method). So if you’re interested in any particular type,you may wanna check properly before you choose the shop. We chose the marker one! AND we wrote everything in CHINESE ok! Later the person brought us to the train tracks,there was when we light up our lantern and let it fly away~ It’s quite fun Can try it!

What’s happening recently…

I wanted to use this space as a historic milestone to keep track of everything that happens in my life. Some day I might just grow old and forget everything. I do think that this form of reminiscence indeed is beautiful. Well,but I don’t seem to be able to keep up to this. There’s so many backdated post and so many events that have already past,but I haven’t blogged about them yet. Backtracking some minor events that is happening or happened already.

I had a long holiday, thought I could use this time to earn some good moolahs. But I think I wasted too much time away. — Graduated from school in early March, the following week of March I worked at 4 days IT fair for the very first time! Then I spend the rest of March relaxing and enjoying life.

- In April, started working in a fashion boutique as a retail assistant for 1 month.

- In May,I went on a graduation trip to Taiwan with my boy,Vanessa and Waiyong for a week. Spending the rest of May and early June embarking on a brand new experience of opening a blogshop - http://vanda-belle.livejournal.com/

- In Mid June,finally got a job contract to work in a logistic company as a packer. It is a 1 month contract,so my job will be ending in mid July.

- In Mid July,I’ll be very much working for Vandabelle full-time until school opens in August.

Time really flies~~

Taiwan Day 5 : Taking Railway to Shih Fen

We set off really early that morning to head off to Shih Fen,because we weren’t too sure how long the railway is going to take to reach there. So we grabbed Sushi Express from Ximen station and ate the sushi at the station exit for breakfast! We weren’t too sure when we’ll get to eat lunch also. Better to be filled first!

The sushi express at the ximen station is actually quite nice and very affordable also. Most of the sushi were SGD 0.50 – SGD 1. They are all freshly made in the morning when the stall opens. Recently they open a chain outlet in Singapore at Cityhall! We were to excited to try it out! If you have been to citylink you should have noticed this place,it’s a new sushi place specially adv as $1.80 per plate! We tried it,it’s Sushi belt style,and there’s no other form of sides and main course, everything is on the belt, well,I would say it’s not as nice as the one I had in Taipei,but I guess it’s still worth it to get a plate of sushi (or even sashimi) at $1.80++.

We headed off to Taipei main station to take railway. On the way towards the railway station we saw this HUGE magazine shop selling all sorts of e-mook! They just hang the bags for display,so you can better view the actual size of the bag and how it really look like (beats seeing it for the small little picture shown on the cover of the magazine!). From the looks of it,you’re sure they have huge variety and range of magazine (especially e-mook!).

Okay! So we got our tickets to Ruifang station,which is the place we were suppose to change train to get to Shih Fen station!

See a lot of these vending machines in Taiwan. They dont sell 100+ or coke. They usually sell tea in bottles. And we tried a few of them,it’s very nice! We also tried the yellow bottle one above (Jiu Shi Cha)! Nice!

The train is quite comfy + powerful aircon! It’s very nice for a long journey.

Now we share our e-mook we bought just now!

I got the Fred Perry Tote! I’m using it frequently now! I love it so much because it can hold my laptop! Just the right size! Plus can hold much more stuffs without looking gigantic on the outside! Boy got the armani sling bag! Looks quite good too!

Okay,then a while later,our comfort ended,somehow we had to change another train (I don’t know why,I just followed the crowd and this friendly family who happen to be heading to the same place as us led us to take the next train).The weather so SO good! The sky is so pretty! Cant stop snapping photos!

“Haiz,when on earth is the train coming?” 

Finally we got to Ruifang station after changing train like 3 – 4 times -.-”.Then we realise we need to change again before we can reach Shih Fen,oh man,might as well just feed ourselves first. So we stayed at Ruifang for lunch until the next train comes!

I thought “WOW! XLB! I WANT!”Turn out to be,OMG don’t know what weird thing is this! It’s really gross.I cant believe boy and I swallow all of it! Because of the courtesy that we were sitting at the table right in front of the shop .

I really like this one! Its “feng jiao”. It’s pork oil wrap and some meat and veggie inside then deep fried and dipped with some form of teriyaki-alike sauce. It’s niceee!!! It’s quite famous there,just pick the one with the longest Q! Haha,but I believe most of them are nice. All of them have strong recommendation article/photo from press media and celebrities.

This is a random pork soup (which we initially mistaken as shark fin soup). Hmm,it’s not too bad also! Boy love this a lot!

This is one of their local specialty – Pepper Biscuit. It’s bit like Tau Sa Piah but with meat and some veggie inside. And how do I describe the taste of this. Well,it’s really call Pepper Biscuit,because I can only taste pepper and nothing else. I don’t like this. Felt that it’s bit too strong in the pepper taste make me choke,but people who like it will like it a lot,it’s a very subjective taste.

Taiwan Day 3 : Taipei Zoo and Shilin Night Market

Hi! Yes I know I’ve been on a really long hiatus! Was really busy with handling Vandabelle and working too!I’ll blog about Vandabelle just launched collection again maybe tomorrow or over the weekends. Heads up! We have our next collection coming up just next week! Do join Vandabelle’s mailing list for further updates! Back to the topic, my Taiwan Trip Day 3 ! The day been quite simple, we went to Taipei Zoo. The very reason for this is because I really want to see a panda! To get there is actually very simple,there’s Taipei Zoo station in the MRT map. So basically you just have to follow the directions in the station map. After leaving the station the zoo is just a stone throw away from the station.

You will need to check the website for more details. There are certain days the exhibits are closed or certain days that the animals will be on ‘rest leave’.

So the adult ticket is NT60 = SGD 2.70Student price is available also,but it’s not application to tourist students,only for locals.Below are some random photos of the zoo. We didn’t take a lot of picture because we were so dead beat,it’s very big,you really need comfortable pair of shoes. It’s quite difficult for us to take photos also,because the enclosure is really big and there’s hardly only 1 – 2 animals around,otherwise are hiding elsewhere. Actually in my opinion,I wouldn’t recommend to go to this zoo. For more spectacular views of animals and a more memorable experience,I will strongly recommend LeeFoo Village instead. I’ll blog about LeeFoo Village in the next few entries to come!

I’m so super excited to see this! WEE!

Ta-dah,the very purpose of the trip to the zoo – Panda! Well,I’m really disappointed. I was expecting much much more,in the end there was only this lonely panda eating bamboo shoots non-stop in this super huge enclosure. I do think that the panda is really cute. But I was really expecting more like a prettier decoration, hopefully more pandas?

The zoo was rather boring,we headed off to something nearby – MaoKong Gondola. You can also see this in the MRT map. It’s walking distance from Taipei zoo. This is a new place recently just launched last year I think. Ticket! It’s like the Singapore style of purchasing per trip MRT ticket,behind me there’s a picture indicating different station and different prices. So you can take the Gondola and stop at different stations (there’s only 3 stations by the way). We bought the one which goes to the furthest! That’s NT50 = $2.20 per trip,to and fro will be NT100 = $4.40

Before entering the Q of the gondola! I went on a Friday and the Q was quite okay,the waiting time for only around 10 minutes. In fact I think we took long time to get to the top level of the building where the gondola boarding area is at, walking-buying ticket-escalator and etc.

There 2 types of cabin you can choose from with no additional charges of whichever choice. The crystal cabin (it’s see through floor) or the normal cabin (non-see through floor). We took the crystal cabin for the ‘to’ trip and took the normal cabin for the back trip.

This is how it looks like on the gondola itself. I strongly recommend this because you can see through the ground which is what you usually don’t get to see such as the canopy view of the forest and more detailed view of the ground you’re travelling on. I’m not so sure how do I explain this,but if you have a chance you can try this. But I only recommend you to take this if you’re taking it in the day time,because at night,most probably you’ll be expecting an all black view.

After a long long ride,we’ve finally reach the final station!

I kinda like this place because of the slightly chilly weather and very relaxing ambiance that you cannot experience else where in the city.

Me being an ultra sua-gu. 1st time seeing a snail so up close,so I had to snap this! lol.

This is one of the delicacy that I promise myself I MUST-EAT when I get to Taiwan. This is pig blood soup. I want it so badly because Singapore do not sell it anymore. Some parts of Malaysia do have it,but it’s still quite a rare food. In Taiwan,you’ll see a lot of these around at Night Market.After that,we pop over to Shilin Night Market for some shopping!

Well not much picture though because it’s rather crowded and it’s hard to move around. Basically Shilin Nightmarket consist of the food section and shopping section. Food section sells lots of those Taiwan snacks like Oyster Mee Sua,XXL Chicken Cutlet,Mango dessert,Bubble tea and many more.Few that I strongly recommend here is

XXL Taiwan Sausage

Most commonly seen in Singapore are the one that are sold on satay sticks right. But if you go to Taiwan,look for the EXTRA FAT and BIG Taiwan Sausage,and they usually charge by weight. They’ll ask you how much you want (like NT 100,150,200 etc) then they’ll drop the sausage into small pieces and weigh them accordingly.

XXL Chicken Cutlet
There’s a very famous stall selling chicken cutlet there,its easy to identify,just look for the one with the longest q! It’s located towards the outside. I find that the chicken is pretty good quite juicy and spicy with seasoning. But I will still prefer the one I posted in my previous entry. But it’s worth of a try.

This is the famous Mango Ice. Well I don’t know how authentic this is,but it’s actually quite famous there . The stall is quite crowded also,but it’s not nice at all. In fact I prefer Mango Monster in Singapore(it’s somewhere opposite Bencoolen).That’s all for now! Will definitely blog again soon! Have a great weekend!

Introducing Vandabelle

Hi ! Just as a was mentioning a few entries earlier! I have started a online fashion store business at http://vanda-belle.livejournal.com/

I have just launched my first collection ! Below is a small preview of what there are in the first collection! But of course there will be more items and more colours available on the website itself. So you may wanna check out the launch itself!

Let me briefly introduce few of these pieces and some of my favourite and my partners favourite pieces.

I really like the I LOVE YOU Ripped Knit top! I like the high lift crop design,because some crop designs tend to be either too short (which maybe a little too revealing if you’re not careful) or doesn’t have a pretty cutting. There’s this ‘n’ shape curve to it which is actually very flattering,give you the hour glass look! For this top,there’s ripped knit design at sides of the top,which actually adds on the chic factor!

The Princess Sleeve Blouson is another loveee! I really love basics (and this one with a twist!). All my friends know me for always wearing puffy sleeves or cap sleeves or flutter sleeves. All these details are things are look for in a basic top. This top have a really pretty ruched sleeve and very eye catching gold buttons! And I really like the outfit when matched with the Floral Chic Shorts! Really spice up the whole outfit look! Otherwise this can be matched with high waisted skirts or bandage skirts as well! Especially it’s Spring/Summer season now,you can go with very pretty neon colours bottoms!

Floral Chic Shorts is one of my favorites! Basically the cutting for the shorts is really good and of course the prints is SO PRETTY!

Scallop is recently a very in thing! And like I say,I really love very basic stuffs with details! Scallop Fever Tank has scallop hemming all over the tank top! We brought in this item because we so love this very unique colour – Lilac!

Scallop Fever Shorts made of really good material! And I totally dig into the scallop designs on the side of the shorts. Caramel is unique colour,especially suitable for this spring/summer season! Black is the basic colour that you can never go wrong with! Match it with bright coloured tops, brings out the fun and cheery look!

Plaid Cowboy is the photographer’s pick for this collection! We love how the checks design give the top a vintage look,on top of that the pearl white buttons compliment the outfit design so nicely.

Tutu Mesh Skirt comes in 3 colours! This is the model (that’s me) and owner’s pick for the colour! This skirt is made of high quality mesh with fully lined inner lining. We loveee how it’s so cute and flouncy!  For bold fashinistas,we strongly recommend the maroon one!

Taiwan Day 2 : Sightseeing in Taipei City

We kick off the day with roaming around Ximending for breakfast-lunch. That’s what we do everyday for the rest of the days in Taiwan,because it is just too convenient to pop over to Ximending from our hotel.

In one of the alleys in Ximending, we found this shop selling croquette.It’s really nice! This is one of the places that I will definitely want to revisit if I ever go to Taipei again. I got a chop card from them, it’s 5 chops for 1 free croquette. So I went back few other days to accumulate more croquette to get the 6th free one

We also got this MINI pepsi from the shop,I just thought it super cute! 250ml pepsi instead of the regular can pepsis 330ml!  Still not convinced it’s small? See below!

This is the awesome croquette I’m talking about. There’s a few flavours - marinated pork/beef,cheese pork/beef,potato and giant potato croquette.My favourite is actually the marinated pork and beef one! The flavour of the whole croquette is really fragrant and the meat is needless to say very juicy. The one with the cheese is so cheezy you can pull it into a long strand just like the pizza hut advertisement.

The is the highly raved Ah Zhong Mee Sua at Ximending. Practically everyone who goes to Taipei will go to this place. So I know I have to check out this place!

There’s big and small bowl,I bought the small bowl one. The meesua in taiwan is slightly different from the meesua we have in Singapore. They usually have pork intestine in them,and for this ah zhong mee sua,there’s few other ingredients such as cuttlefish bits and few other chewy stuffs which I’m not too sure what they are. Personally I feel that it’s pretty over rated. I think the mee sua is not that awesome. But of course it’s still acceptable to eat,but I find that I’m already had quite enough eating the small bowl ones,so I wouldnt want to get the big bowl ones. There’s another day we went Shida Night Market and we bought mee sua from this random street stall,I feel that they have better mee sua compared to Ah zhong ones. But my favourite is still the one at Bugis call Ke Kou Le or sth,it’s located on B1,one of the food stalls there.

Next we went to the miniature museum,basically it’s a museum with everything in MINI size. Well,the few pictures I posted here is examples of what you can expect to see there. But personally I find that it’s quite a boring place. Not really worth visiting.

 

Of course alcohol also come in MINI sizes! haha.

This is AES. Many people would know this better as Xiao Gui’s shop own by this famous Taiwan host who host the show “Yu Le Bai Fen Bai” with Show Luo. Not what we expected,nothing much to shop there actually. In fact there were even more display decoration that items up for sale,probably about 6 pieces of clothing up for sale only? Quite disappointed when we went there.

We were so tired of walking cause it’s quite a fair bit of walk from the train station to the shop. We stopped by a random stall selling snacks to get Fried Chicken! And boy,this is the utmost bestest fried chicken I’ve ever eaten! We tried Shilin Night Market ones,some random stalls at ximending and few other more,but this is the best! Big juicy chicken with very very good chilli and pepper ! It’s super crispy because it’s only fried when we ordered it. Normally people fried the chicken earlier and would only re-fry it to heat it up when you order it.

Next,we went to Taipei 101!

It s a really bad time to go! The weather was bad,it’s really cloudy,cant really see anything. The outdoor observatory was closed for renovations,so there’s only the indoor observatory to visit.

We got ice cream there! It’s probably the best thing that happened there! Haha.

Some more random food stalls we found along the way! It’s called Ireland Fries of something? It’s very much similar to BFF. It’s fries with different types of toppings. Well,my take for this is normal,not worth getting 2nd time though.

If you’re going to Taiwan,don’t forget Taiwan sausage! But this one we got isnt very nice! I would strongly recommend that don’t buy those sausage that is cooked on a stick. Get those gigantic sausage where they have to chop it into smaller pieces and put it in a bag,and you can eat with satay sticks. Those are the actual authentic ones that taste super awesome! They’ll weigh how much there is and charge accordingly. I recommend the food stall at Shilin Night Market. That one is really awesome! I’ll buy 2 big packets if I ever go there again!

This is the Miramar Ferris Wheel! To me,it’s quite scary. The cabin is a lot smaller and it’s only design for 2 people unlike the flyers which is bigger and steadier. I was too frightened to look around for the night view,but I guess it’s still beautiful!
